Once in Kemah, you’ll find no shortage of fun and interesting things to do. Sure, it might seem like just another small south-eastern Texas town of only a few thousand people, but I think you’ll be surprised how much there really is to do here.
We’re only a quick 15-minute drive from the heart of the Kemah boardwalk! You may come for just a day or two, but my guess is that you’ll want to stay much longer after you see everything that the local area has to offer. Some come for a day, some come for a week – but it’s not a place that you’ll easily forget. I promise you.
Those with an interest in checking out the nearby attractions of Kemah are most welcome! We’ve spent a lot of time walking on the board-walk and enjoying the amazing waterfront dining and think you’re going to feel right at home here.
If you need to pick up groceries, you’ll find an assortment of stores and shops in nearby Kemah, which is a quick drive from the RV Park.
Our RV Park is conveniently located close to Kemah Tx. When you’ve had your fill of afternoons and evenings on the boardwalk, we highly recommend one of our 168 waterfront and pull-up sites include: Full RV hookups, cement pads, a large community center with regular events and potlucks, a fully-stocked clubhouse, two resort-style pools, on-site laundry facilities, handicap accessible bathrooms with 24-hour hot water, fast wifi, cable tv, private piers and guaranteed good memories. Because we’re situated right on the shore of Dickinson Bayou, there are some great fishing opportunities nearby too. Kids fish free!
No matter how long you have to stay with us, we’re ready to welcome you to our beautiful RV Park. Come for a day, a week, a month or even for the whole season! We think you’ll enjoy the clean, peaceful resort that’s right on the Bayou. We want you to relax, step back a bit, and let us take care of you. We offer clean bathrooms, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
Our RV Park staff and management would love to meet you, hear your story and learn more about where you come from. In order to facilitate this, we regularly organize social events, barbeques and crawfish boils, fresh from the Bayou! We’d love to meet you by one of our pools, whether it be with your kids or in the adult only pool for a little more comfort and relaxation. Or meet you in our community center, where you can take a break from the sun and meet other fellow travelers. We’ve got you covered.
The Galveston Bay RV Park has been happily serving many visitors in town to visit the attractions of nearby Kemah, but we welcome people and travelers of all types and interests who are looking to cut costs without compromising on the creature comforts of home. We like to think that we’re the best kept secret in the Kemah Texas area! Come on out and find out why.
Our RV park is like one, big Texan family and we can’t wait to show you around. You’ll get a feel for the ‘real Texas’ while staying with us and hope that you’ll get a better understanding of what makes us tic.
Whatever it is that you need, don’t hesitate to ask. We’re here to serve you and make your visit one that you’ll remember forever. Sure, we’re just an RV Park, but we like to think of ourselves as a friendly community too. Thanks for considering stopping by and we hope to see you soon. Don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or our contact form if you have any questions or concerns. Be safe and happy travels!
Kemah Dinning and Waterfont
The Kemah Boardwalk offers some great options for dining along with a small amusement park. One of our favorite evening activities is sitting down to a nice meal with a view of the bay. Kemah is a small town, but it’s not short on great dining options. While in town, you don’t want to miss Landry’s Seafood House, where you can enjoy panoramic views from the patio or from their beautiful dining room. Another great option, especially if your kids are with you, is the Aquarium Restaurant. It’s a ton of fun to eat being surrounded by an abundance of colorful fish and other sea-life! They have educational programs too, if that’s something you’re interested in after your meal.
When you’ve had your fill, check out the historic pier, which is at the heart of the action. And then, if your feet get tired of all the walking, consider hopping on-board the Boardwalk Beast, which will take you four miles out into the Galveston Bay at upwards of 40 mph. Warning: It can be a fun, wet ride!
Kemah Boardwalk
While strolling around the boardwalk, make sure you take time to visit one of the many restaurants (more on that below), the boutique hotel, the 400-slip marina and the plethora of shops that sell just about everything you can imagine.
The Kemah Boardwalk is an incredible 60-acre piece of paradise right on the Gulf of Texas. It’s a theme-park at heart, but we think it’s pretty unique since it’s surrounded by the beauty and expanse of open water. It’s built entirely along the banks of the Galveston Bay and Clear Lake. Without question, it’s considered one of the best boardwalks in the United States. You have to come by to find out why!
If you’re bringing kids with you, you can enjoy feeding the fish, using the coin-operated telescopes for great day-time and night-time views, a fun little train ride around the boardwalk, water fountains, arcades, playgrounds and of course the amusement park rides.
For our dedicated management team, the comfort of our guests is a top priority. That’s why we’re constantly expanding our list of RV resort amenities to make sure we’re meeting our campers’ needs every step of the way. We go out of our way to make our Kemah RV campground really feel like home so when you stay with us, you’ll enjoy access amenities such as:
